Quality Process
Our advanced CNC machining and automated manufacturing ensure consistent precision, scalable production, and dependable quality
Quality is built into every step, with rigorous pressure testing, load cycling, and full material traceability. Beyond manufacturing, we provide end-to-end lifecycle support, covering design, prototyping, commissioning, and after-sales service.
Foundry – Chemical Analysis – Spectro
SGK's, Spectro Chemical Analysis tests the chemical composition of molten metal or cast samples using an Optical Emission Spectrometer (OES). This is one of the most critical quality control steps in our metal casting process. This helps us to control carbon equivalent (CE) and ensures correct nodularity (in SG Iron).
Hardness Testing
In SGK regular Hardness testing is conducted to measure a casting’s resistance to indentation or penetration. We consider this to have important quality checks to confirm that the metal has achieved the required mechanical properties. It helps to detect improper heat treatment and prevents premature failure.
Mechanical Testing (UTM)
The Mechanical Testing using a Universal Testing Machine (UTM) is performed in SGK to evaluate the strength and deformation behavior of cast metals under controlled loading conditions. SGK conducts regular UTM tests confirm whether the casting meets mechanical property requirements as per ASTM, IS, EN, or customer specifications.
Supportive testing facilities
Sand Testing
Periodic Sand testing is performed to evaluate the quality and suitability of sand, especially in foundry moulding, construction, and industrial applications.

Non Destructive Testing
In SGK, regular Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) is used to inspect for defects. It ensures that the casting meets quality standards, customer specifications, and safety requirements before dispatch.
